Whats goin goin guys! In today’s video I’m going to be covering 5 of the biggest fat loss mistakes that you're making at the grocery store if you're trying to lose weight.

Mistake #1 is not making a list when going to the store. The reason this is so important is because when you don't have a list you get a bunch of foods that you didn't want to get, and you don't get the foods that you did want to get. I like to use the notes on my iPhone for my lists.

Mistake #2 is walking down all of the aisles in the store. One of the biggest things I've seen is starting on one side, then up and down each aisle and you end up going down aisles you don't need anything from, leading to again buying things you don't need.

Mistake #3 is going to the grocery store when you're hungry. What happens? You end up buying snack foods and other junk food that you wouldn't normally get just because you're hungry and getting cravings. If you eat prior, you are more likely to make a smarter choice in the store.

Mistake #4 is going to the store when it's busy. This is a huge mistake because it's not efficient. Sometimes we avoid going just because it's busy and we use that as an excuse - so avoid that, and pick a time when it's less busy.

Mistake #5 is be realistic with what you're going to eat for the week. Often we are super ambitious when we start on a fitness plan and we want to be 100% perfect on our diets. We buy tons of ingredients thinking we're going to make all these healthy meals, but often times we are in over our heads. The last thing you want to do is buy a bunch of foods only to throw them away because you didn't eat them. This leads to a feeling of failure internally. Start with a few items to get going, then as you build those habits you will get some small wins and build a routine.
